Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for Maternity Services. The role reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and provides direct and indirect patient-centered care, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited nursing program with CT licensure, ACLS/NRP within a year, BLS, and fetal monitoring certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• ACLS and NRP certifications required within first year.
• BCLS certification required within orientation period.
• Electric Fetal Monitoring Certification within a year after hire.
• Labor and delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team, patients and families.
• Communicate patient condition changes quickly and accurately.
• Promote professional nursing practice and collegial support.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Current licensure in the state of Connecticut.

ACLS certification within 1 year of hire

NRP certification within 1 year of hire

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within orientation

Electric fetal monitoring certification within 1 year of hire
