Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking a Medical Assistant to coordinate and care for patients within the assigned department. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, greeting and screening patients, answering calls, scheduling, and assisting in procedures while recording statistics and quality improvements.

The MA must operate within the Washington scope of practice as credentialed, with required WA Medical Assistant Certification, and BLS certification on hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• Draw lab work as needed within the department.
• Monitor vital signs.
• Statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and greet/screen patients.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle correspondence.
• Prepare and assist in procedures; complete statistics and quality improvement tasks.
• Operate within the WA-defined Medical Assistant scope of practice.
