Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency program.
• Maternal child services experience preferred.
• ACLS/NRP preferred; obtain within 6 months.
• BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per current evidence-based practice and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and health-care team about status and plans.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in the EHR.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate safe discharge ensuring continuity of care.
• Care for Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, High Risk Antepartum, OR circulating, and newborn nursery.
