Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Maternal Child Services at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role covers Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and High Risk Antepartum units, with opportunities for OR Circulating and Newborn Nursery care.

Required NJ RN license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and at least 6 months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation. BSN in progress or commitment to pursue within 3 years is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based standards to ensure safe labor and delivery and mother/baby care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and health care team about status and plan.
• Administer medications with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document at the point of care for assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education to support health and disease management.
• Assist with multi-disciplinary discharges and transitions of care.
• Care for Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, High Risk Antepartum, OR circulating, and Newborn Nursery.
