Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in our Maternal Child departments in New Jersey. The role delivers evidence-based nursing care, communicates with the care team, and ensures high-quality patient experiences from admission to discharge.

Minimum NJ nursing license and BLS/CPR are required; 1 year in maternal-child areas is expected. BSN preferred or to be obtained within 3 years; NRP/ACLS preferred with 6-month timeline.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification is required.
• 1 year of RN experience in Maternal Child Department areas (post partum, nursery, special care nursery, labor and delivery, NICU).
• NRP certification and ACLS is highly preferred, must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is highly preferred or must obtain within 3 years.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and dedication to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per evidence-based policies to provide safe, patient-centered care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the health care team.
• Responsible for optimal patient and guest satisfaction and care experience.
• Medication administration using the latest clinical documentation technology.
• Patient and family centered care to optimize health and disease management.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration to manage the plan of care from admission to discharge.
