Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Maternal Child departments to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver safe, effective care from admission through discharge.

The position requires a current NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR, and at least 1 year of RN experience in maternal-child settings; BSN is preferred and NRP/ACLS are beneficial, with completion within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey nursing license is required.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Maternal Child Department (post partum, nursery, NICU).
• NRP certification and ACLS is highly preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is highly preferred or must obtain within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe, patient-centered care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and plans.
• Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience.
• Medication administration using latest clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of patient care from admission to discharge.
