Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking a Visiting Professor to join our Nursing faculty on campus in Ohio. The role focuses on clinical teaching, curriculum alignment, and developing student competencies through hands-on experiences.

You will mentor nursing students, collaborate with staff and other faculty, and contribute to program assessment and student success. A master's or doctoral degree and an Ohio nursing license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Ohio nursing license.
• Minimum of two years of professional instruction experience as an RN in the last five years.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong passion for nursing education and lifelong learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Maintains current knowledge of agency/clinical policies with staff.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge base.
• Provides timely feedback on student performance.
• Works with administration and faculty to improve operation and student satisfaction.
• May teach didactic content under supervision.
• Reports to dean or course coordinator.
