Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Louisiana.
• At least two years professional pediatrics experience as an RN in last five years.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred.
• Passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Strong subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Desire to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care.
• Operate with responsibility and purpose to enrich colleagues and the community.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Remains available to staff at the agencies and communicates outcomes.
• Develops clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge and skills.
• Completes timely grading and feedback on assignments, quizzes, and exams.
• Contributes to program development and the College's operations.
• May teach didactic content under supervision of course coordinator.
• Keeps the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.
