Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in instruction as an RN.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain sites.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
• Have a passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes through clinical teaching.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of students.
• Evaluates and provides feedback to students based on course objectives.
• Remediates students as required or needed.
• Keeps knowledge updated on agency/clinical policies and procedures.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learners.
• Reports to the dean or assistant dean; course coordinator provides oversight.
