Job summary

Indiana University in Indianapolis seeks a Peer Navigator Community Outreach Assistant to support a maternal-child HIV services outreach project. You will recruit participants, assist with enrollment, and help families navigate clinics and community resources.

You will coordinate appointments, provide peer support and education on HIV care and infant health, collect data for program evaluation, and document activities while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of related work experience.
• Preferred lived experience with HIV or a caregiver background.
• Experience navigating maternal-child health services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with recruitment and enrollment of pregnant/postpartum women living with HIV and their infants.
• Meets clients to assess needs and develop client-centered care plans.
• Orients clients to clinics, providers, and community resources.
• Supports appointment coordination and reminders to retain care.
• Provides coaching on HIV care and infant health and nutrition.
• Collects data for program evaluation and maintains documentation.
