Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Grand Rapids, MI to lead a team focused on safety, efficiency, and quality. The role involves developing standardized work, sustaining 5-S practices, and aligning labor with customer requirements.

You will analyze downtime, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with HR, EHS, and management to resolve issues and meet plant goals. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role leading teams.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with database applications and Microsoft Office.
• Motivated, service-oriented with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated good internal customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of associates regarding safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Foster teamwork and cooperation within the plant.
• Develop, implement, and enforce standardized work.
• Drive continuous improvement to meet company goals.
• Maintain and improve 5-S standards.
• Schedule labor to meet internal and external demands.
• Complete hourly reviews and handle disciplinary paperwork as needed.
• Investigate injuries/near misses and document findings for relevant teams.
• Address safety issues with Materials Manager, HR, and EHS.
• Communicate with customers as required.
• Analyze downtime data and apply corrective actions via problem solving.
• Lead problem-solving teams for customer corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to meet department and company goals.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or upper management.
