Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Grand Rapids, MI to lead a team focused on safety, efficiency, and quality. You will implement standardized work, drive improvements, and maintain 5-S standards to meet company goals.

You will schedule labor to meet customer needs, conduct associate reviews, and collaborate with HR, EHS, and Materials management to resolve issues and drive results.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role leading teams.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with database applications and Microsoft Office.
• Must be a highly motivated, service-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated good internal customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Exercises direct supervision over associates with respect to safety, efficiency, quality of work, and training.
• Fosters teamwork and cooperation within the group.
• Develops, implements, monitors, and enforces standardized work.
• Works toward continuous improvement to meet company goals.
• Maintains and improves 5-S standards.
• Ensures labor is scheduled to support internal and external customer requirements.
• Completes hourly associate reviews and initiates disciplinary paperwork as needed.
• Investigates injuries or near misses and documents for HR/EHS/Materials Manager.
• Addresses safety issues promptly with management and EHS.
• Communicates with customers as needed and reviews downtime data for corrective action.
• Leads problem-solving teams to respond to corrective actions from customer complaints.
• Works with management to attain department and company goals.
