Job summary

Terracon in Charlotte, NC seeks a field technician to perform material testing and inspection on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate test results to the project manager, prepare data for daily transmittals, and maintain site safety and equipment.

Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, driving to sites, and upholding quality standards across projects. A high school diploma, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver’s license are required;

• 6 months experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project stakeholders regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and submit data and observations in reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and participate in pre-task planning.
