Job summary

UES's Fort Myers office seeks an experienced Project Manager in Construction Materials Testing to lead complex projects from proposal through closeout. You will coordinate field technicians, lab staff and engineers, maintain client relationships, and deliver technical reports with compliance to ASTM, AASHTO, ACI and ICC standards.

You will need a Civil Engineering degree and 4–7 years of CMT/inspection experience, with strong communication, organizational and analytical skills, and willingness

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience: 4–7 years of construction materials testing (CMT) and inspection experience for non-degreed candidates.
• Certifications: Certifications in relevant testing or inspection areas (e.g., ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety) preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of construction materials testing standards and the ability to interpret specifications.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects.
• Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management or data reporting systems.
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large complex materials testing projects from proposal through closeout.
• Develop project estimates, scopes of work, and proposals in collaboration with technical and business development teams.
• Coordinate and allocate resources, including field technicians and laboratory support, to meet project demands efficiently.
• Communicate proactively with clients, addressing questions, resolving routine issues, and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Monitor project financial performance, including cost control, budget tracking, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Provide technical oversight for field and laboratory work, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and company procedures.
• Conduct or supervise field inspections and testing as needed.
