Job summary

ECS Limited in Orlando is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager I to drive low-complexity projects from proposal through completion. You will coordinate field teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure clear client communication while delivering high-quality testing results.

The role requires 2 years of related experience and a BS in Civil Engineering or related field, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of construction materials testing principles and applications.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing and ASTM standards.
• Ability to interpret field and laboratory testing results.
• Ability to manage priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
• Developing client relationship and business development skills.
• Basic knowledge of CM testing software.
• Valid driver's license if driving for or on behalf of ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Manages and executes CMT projects from proposal through completion for low-complexity work.
• Reviews daily field reports and resolves technical and administrative issues.
• Manages budgets, invoices, pay apps, and collections.
• Prepares proposals and change orders.
• Supports testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, fireproofing, and asphalt.
• Performs soil classification and assigns laboratory testing.
• Coordinates field staff and provides training and oversight.
• Communicates project status and deliverables to clients.
• Hosts or participates in project meetings with clients.
• Mentors junior staff and supports team development.
• Ensures accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Performs other PM and technical duties as assigned.
