Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a Materials Technician to manage the storage and distribution of general, medical, and surgical supplies across nursing units. You will stock, count, and distribute supplies and track movements in the MMIS.

This full-time evening shift (2 PM–10:30 PM) offers competitive hourly pay and benefits. A high school diploma or GED, a valid WA state driver’s license, and prior materials management experience are preferred; CRCST certification is a plus.

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
  • Six (6) months prior materials management experience within a healthcare institution preferred.

  • Restock supply carts for assigned nursing units and adjust par levels as needed.

Materials Technician

Pay range: - Hourly $24.49 - $36.74
Full-Time/Evenings 2 PM-10:30 PM

Position Purpose

Responsible for the workflow processes involved in the storage and distribution of general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment, including the stocking, counting, and distributing of supplies, and recording the movement of supplies in and out of inventories using the materials management information system (MMIS). The Materials Technician is assigned to several nursing units and is responsible for restocking their supply carts, adjusting the mix of supply items and their par levels. Also interacts continually and effectively with the nursing staff, responding to and anticipating their needs in a timely manner, and giving updates on new supply items.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid WA.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) is preferred.
  • Six (6) months prior materials management experience within a healthcare institution preferred.
