Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Materials Technician to manage stocking, counting, and distributing general, medical, and surgical supplies. You will restock carts across nursing units, adjust par levels, and log inventory movements in the MMIS, while collaborating with nursing staff to meet needs promptly.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and a WA driver’s license; CRCST is preferred and prior healthcare materials experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Valid WA Driver's license required.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) is preferred.
  • Six (6) months prior materials management experience within a healthcare institution preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Restock supply carts for multiple nursing units.
  • Adjust the mix of supply items and their par levels.
  • Record movement of supplies in the MMIS.
  • Respond to nursing staff needs and provide updates on new supply items.

Position Purpose

Responsible for the workflow processes involved in the storage and distribution of general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment, including the stocking, counting, and distributing of supplies, and recording the movement of supplies in and out of inventories using the materials management information system (MMIS). The Materials Technician is assigned to several nursing units and is responsible for restocking their supply carts, adjusting the mix of supply items and their par levels. Also interacts continually and effectively with the nursing staff, responding to and anticipating their needs in a timely manner, and giving updates on new supply items.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Valid WA. Driver's license required. Certified Registered Central Service Technician (C.R.C.S.T.) is preferred. Six (6) months prior materials management experience within a healthcare institution preferred.

Pay range: - Hourly $24.49 - $36.74 Materials Technician Full-Time/Days 6 AM-2:30 PM, Rotating Weekends
