Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to support material planning, supplier coordination, and inventory management to meet production schedules. You will work cross-functionally with purchasing, planning, warehouse, production, engineering, and logistics teams to monitor supplier performance, track POs, and resolve shortages in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, logistics, or order expediting.
• Experience tracking purchase orders, supplier commitments, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Experience communicating with suppliers and resolving late, incomplete, or delayed deliveries.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track order status, lead times, shortages, and delivery delays.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding production schedules, shipment status, and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability.
• Identify potential supply disruptions and escalate issues to stakeholders.
• Follow up on past-due orders and develop recovery plans.
• Maintain records of orders, deliveries, supplier commitments, and inventory transactions in ERP/MRP.
• Review inventory requirements and prioritize critical materials to support production.
• Coordinate transportation arrangements and shipment documentation as needed.
• Resolve discrepancies involving quantities, specifications, pricing, and delivery commitments.
• Provide regular status reports and delivery updates to internal stakeholders.
• Support supplier performance measurement and continuous improvement.
• Ensure incoming materials meet required quality, quantity, and delivery standards.
• Assist with development of specifications for new contract orders.
