Job summary

Storm Search in Whippany, NJ is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to support production planning, materials coordination, and overall supply chain execution in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

The role collaborates with purchasing, production, and other internal teams to ensure materials are available to meet production requirements, customer demand, and priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of materials planning or related production planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production planning, material requirements planning, inventory, and production scheduling.
• Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, purchasing, supply chain, and operations teams.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Support and help drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Develop monthly production plans based on demand requirements and available capacity.
• Establish and maintain weekly production schedules.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure production and supply plans are realistic and aligned.
• Help establish and maintain S&OP KPIs and planning metrics.
• Distribute work orders and assist production teams with obtaining necessary drawings, parts, and materials.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to identify and resolve supply chain and production issues.
• Monitor material requirements, inventory levels, shortages, and production needs.
• Communicate material shortages, schedule changes, and recommended actions to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain planning and master data for new and existing products.
• Manage open planning issues and drive actions through completion.
• Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to support day-to-day operational needs.
