Job summary

PwrQ Holdings LLC in Hanover, MD seeks a Materials Manager to lead end-to-end materials strategy and the site’s transition to a disciplined MRP-driven operating model. You will own purchasing, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics, building a scalable materials organization ready for growth.

The role combines strong execution with strategic leadership, lean thinking, and systems knowledge to develop people and transform processes. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 8+ years in materials management, supply chain, planning, logistics or manufacturing.
• 5+ years of leadership experience across multiple materials or logistics functions.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and disciplined planning processes.
• APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
• Experience managing inventory, warehousing, shipping, and internal logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site’s materials strategy to support safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth objectives.
• Lead all materials and logistics functions including purchasing, planning, MRP, inventory, warehousing, receiving, shipping, and internal movement.
• Build a scalable materials organization with clear responsibilities and standard work.
• Coach and hold the materials team accountable for results and continuous improvement.
• Own the implementation and adoption of an MRP-driven planning process for the site.
• Establish accurate bills of material, routings, lead times, safety stocks, and planning standards.
• Ensure planners, buyers, and supervisors are trained and follow defined processes.
• Develop planning disciplines that provide visibility to shortages, capacity constraints, and supplier risks.
• Create governance to maintain system accuracy post-implementation.
• Establish inventory-control processes and lead cycle-counting and physical inventory.
