Forgent is seeking a Materials Manager in Maryland to lead end-to-end materials strategy and an MRP-driven operating model. You will own purchasing, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics while building a high-performance team.

The role requires Lean, ERP/MRP experience, and strong leadership to transform processes and data quality, aligning with site leadership on capacity planning and business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 8+ years in materials management, supply chain, planning, purchasing, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• 5+ years of leadership responsibility across multiple materials or logistics functions.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute the site materials strategy to support safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Lead materials and logistics functions: purchasing, planning, MRP, inventory, warehousing, receiving, shipping, internal movement.
• Build a scalable materials organization with clear roles, standard work, and succession plans.
• Coach the team to achieve operational results and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with site leadership on strategy, capacity planning, and business decisions.
• Ensure governance to maintain system accuracy after MRP implementation.
• Establish shortage management and escalation to protect delivery commitments.
• Partner with production planning to translate demand into actionable purchasing requirements.
• Improve dock scheduling, carrier coordination, and logistics cost.
