Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify shipments against orders and packing slips.

• Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping to ensure material availability.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or shipping errors.
• Organize warehouse storage areas for efficient space utilization and safety.
• Prepare and process outbound shipments with proper labeling and documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and generate reorder requests to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed during handling.

The Materials Management Specialist is responsible for the flow, tracking, and accuracy of materials, inventory, and supplies within the warehouse. This role ensures inbound and outbound shipments are processed efficiently, inventory records stay accurate, and stock levels support ongoing operational and production needs.

Duties

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Maintain accurate inventory counts through cycle counts and periodic physical inventories
• Track material movement using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams to ensure material availability
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory, damaged goods, or shipping errors
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for efficient space utilization and safety
• Prepare and process outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and documentation
