Job summary

Advanced Containment Systems, Inc. in South Houston, TX seeks a Materials Supervisor to manage day-to-day materials management, receiving, and delivery across warehouses and the manufacturing plant.

You will lead a small team, ensure accurate ERP material transactions, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety and ISO policies. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, plus hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• PC literate with ability to use common software tools.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead change and work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Minimum 3+ years in materials supervision within manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise department personnel including material handlers, forklift operators, and receivers.
• Manage inventory control and implement a cycle count program.
• Ensure materials are received accurately and issued in the ERP system.
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials throughout the facility.
• Apply root cause analysis to discrepancies in receiving/inventory.
• Lead continuous improvement activities in your area.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure ISO program compliance through department leadership.

Materials Supervisor

Manage the day to day operations of materials management, receiving and material delivery throughout warehouses and manufacturing plant.

Essential job functions:

• Supervise department personnel including material handler(s), forklift operator(s), and receiver(s).
• Responsible for inventory control and implementing/maintaining a cycle count program.
• Responsible for ensuring materials are received accurately and issued to jobs electronically in the company's ERP system accordingly.
• Responsible for timely delivery of materials throughout the facility.
• Execute problem solving methods such as root cause analysis for receiving and/or inventory discrepancies.
• Lead continuous improvement activities in your area of responsibilities.
• Understand and enforce all company policies.
• Create and enforce a safe work environment while enforcing all company safety rules.
• Assures the department personnel are following the Safety guidelines and programs.
• Assures warehouse compliance with ISO program through managers and supervisors.

Knowledge, skills and requirements:

• Must be PC literate.
• Knowledge of using ERP systems and MicroSoft Excel is preferred.
• Must have strong communication skills.
