Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Commodities Services Tech I to perform daily picking, packing, shipping, and reclamation, ensuring accurate material flow to Power Delivery facilities. You will prepare materials for return to inventory and support operations with a customer-driven mindset.

The role requires learning MAXIMO/eMax systems, strong communications with Supply Center staff, and the ability to handle varied tasks in an onsite warehouse environment, with early shift hours and limited travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate Duke Energy vehicles.
• Ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (Class B).
• Demonstrated ability to operate power lift equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Must complete fork-lift, EH&S, and other supply chain trainings.
• Basic computer skills including e-mail (Outlook).
• Self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision.
• Experience interacting with management, staff, and external customers.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day picking, packing, and shipping of materials to Power Delivery facilities.
• Replenish inventory and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Handle material reclamation, waste disposal, and return-to-inventory processing.
• Prepare new/used materials for return to Supply Centers inventory.
• Maintain clear communications with internal customers to ensure efficient material flow.
• Learn and use systems like MAXIMO and eMax to support operations.
