Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Commodities Services Tech II to support day-to-day warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and material reclamation for Customer Delivery facilities.

You will prepare new/used materials for return to inventory, maintain accurate records, and communicate with Supply Center staff. Training on MAXIMO and eMax will be provided; the role requires reliability, safety awareness, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years warehouse operations or power generation experience
  • Valid driver's license for occasional vehicle use
  • Ability to complete forklift, EH&S and other supply chain training within 90 days
  • Proficient with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel)
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision
  • Experience communicating with diverse contacts (managers, customers)
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks from multiple team members and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Perform picking, packing, shipping and material reclamation tasks
  • Assist with inventory replenishment and waste disposal
  • Maintain housekeeping and warehouse zone maintenance
  • Prepare new/used materials for return to Supply Centers inventory
  • Communicate effectively with Supply Center and internal customers for smooth material flow
  • Learn and use MAXIMO and eMax systems
