Job summary

Harry and David, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to ensure accurate, timely, and safe unloading and receipt of product at our facility. You will compare and verify all material against the Bill of Lading provided by each carrier, documenting counts and signing paperwork.

The role requires basic reading and math skills and may involve 20–30 lb lifts, standing/walking, and working in varying temperatures. Previous distribution/inventory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload and receive product accurately and safely.
• Compare and verify material against the Bill of Lading from each carrier.

Job description

This position will ensure the accurate , timely and safe unloading and receipt of product and will compare and verify all material from assigned truck. This involved calculating the exact counts on each pallet and comparing these numbers to the Bill of Lading provided by each individual carrier. The receiver will document these numbers, sign the necessary paperwork, and is held accountable for any discrepancy thereafter.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK EFFORT

• Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting and use of hands, wrists and arms)
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures (-10° to 40°)
