Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Material Receiver for the 2nd shift to ensure accurate, timely unloading and receipt of products. You will verify material against the Bill of Lading, document counts, and sign off on paperwork, remaining accountable for any discrepancies.

Responsibilities include calculating pallet counts, reconciling with carrier documentation, and supporting E-Verify participation. The role requires basic reading/math skills and 3+ months of distribution/inventory

• Compare and verify all material from assigned truck; calculate exact pallet counts and compare to Bill of Lading
• Document numbers, sign paperwork, and maintain accountability for discrepancies

• Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting and use of hands, wrists and arms)
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs. continuously and 50lbs. occasionally
• Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures (-10° to 40°)

Job Description

This position will ensure the accurate , timely and safe unloading and receipt of product and will compare and verify all material from assigned truck. This involved calculating the exact counts on each pallet and comparing these numbers to the Bill of Lading provided by each individual carrier. The receiver will document these numbers, sign the necessary paperwork, and is held accountable for any discrepancy thereafter.
