Job summary

OnePointe Solutions in Elgin, TX is hiring a Purchasing Agent for full-time on-site work. You will source materials, place purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials meet production schedules.

You’ll collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and logistics to keep orders on track while controlling costs. The role requires 1–3 years in purchasing or procurement, strong organization and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
• Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, parts, and supplies based on job requirements and inventory levels.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors and confirm order accuracy, pricing, and lead times.
• Track and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate with vendors regarding delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and project management teams to align material availability with timelines.
• Maintain records in ERP system for all purchase orders and vendor activity.
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest restocking needs.
• Assist with vendor evaluations and maintaining approved supplier lists.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings or improved lead times.
