Job summary

PlanIT Group seeks a Material Buyer in Grand Prairie, TX to develop and manage purchase orders for specialized materials, equipment and services. You will prepare bid packages, solicit supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and award orders within authority.

Role requires at least a bachelor's degree and 2+ years in procurement, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP. On-site presence is required 2 days a week with 4 days on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years of procurement experience managing clients, suppliers or vendors.
• 2+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Procurement/Commercial mindset with analytical skills.
• US Citizenship required; dual citizenship not supported.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer purchase orders for specialized materials, equipment, and services.
• Prepare bid packages, solicit and evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Award purchase orders within established authority.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure best value and on-time delivery.
• Maintain SAP data and track supplier commitments.
• Support delivery recovery actions and resolve procurement roadblocks.
