Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Material Project Assistant in San Diego, CA to coordinate procurement actions, prepare PRs/POs, and track orders for timely delivery. You will work with Program Managers to keep quotes and purchase requests aligned with NIWC schedules and FAR requirements, and communicate status to stakeholders.

The role requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance, strong MS Office skills, and experience with procurement systems.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.
• High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years or prior relevant experience.
• Microsoft Office knowledge and skills, with strong experience working with large PDF files and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Experience working with Government Contract Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Commit orders via Costpoint, SciQuest, and Purchasing Card (Pcard).
• Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for Subcontract Labor and Material Purchase Orders (POs).
• Support Program Managers and teammates generating Purchase Request Forms (PRFs) and routes for approval.
• Initiate Procurement Purchase Requests (PPRs) to request Warranted Buyer quotes and POs.
• Reconcile and submit biweekly Transaction Detail Reports via US Bank Access One.
• Track status of orders from start to finish and maintain input to Material Spreadsheets.
• Communicate with vendors to keep delivery dates up to date.
• Track and complete Goods Receipts; upload artifacts in CDMS+.
• Ensure timely placement of orders to support delivery dates; alert requesters of issues.
• Work with other Material Project Assistants as needed.
