Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Materials Planner to collaborate with regional sales and operations to develop 12- to 18-month forecasts and translate demand plans into orders. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5+ years experience in order management, inventory optimization and asset utilization.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with region sales and operations to create region forecasts (12-18 months) and global forecasts.
• Converts demand plans into physical orders and analyzes business trends affecting forecasts.
• Supports S&OP process execution and consistency.
• Analyzes demand, identifies order exceptions and opportunities to use inventory.
• Plans order timelines to meet customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
• Prioritizes deliver dates with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery (push outs, pull ins).
• Performs material management analysis (consumption, aging inventory, in-transit material).
• Implements inventory stocking strategies and monitors safety stock levels.
