Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead Materials Planner to drive regional and global forecasts, convert demand plans into orders, and optimize inventory across the supply chain. The role collaborates with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to align schedules with customer needs and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in supply chain, strong SAP/MRP knowledge, and proven stakeholder management. APICS certification is a plus and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in the field.
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and asset utilization.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic thinking with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with region sales and operations to create the regional 12-18 month forecast and global forecasts.
• Convert demand plans into physical orders and understand business trends impacting demand.
• Assist in execution and drive consistency of the S&OP process.
• Analyze demand, identify order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization, and inventory opportunities.
• Plan and schedule order timelines to align with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
• Prioritize deliver dates with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery (push outs, pull ins) as needed.
• Conduct material management analysis (consumption, aging inventory, safety stock, etc.).
• Implement inventory stocking strategies and monitor safety stock levels and aging inventory.
