Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Professional - Materials Planning and Execution to plan and schedule materials across multiple time horizons, coordinating with Sales, AMO and regional teams to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.

The role emphasizes demand translation, inventory management, and collaboration with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to optimize delivery dates and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in supply chain or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years’ experience).
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management.
• Basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality.
• Ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders.
• Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
• Analyzes incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory.
• Plans and schedules order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
• Works with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins).
• Performs material management analyses such as statistical consumption, aged inventory, aged purchase orders, in-transit material, safety stock.
• Implements inventory stocking strategies.
• Monitors safety stock, global and aging inventory; coordinates with regions and plants.
• Collaborates with AMO to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured.
• Ensures new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with S&OP process.
• Assists in executing continuous improvement projects to maximize value.
