Job summary

Piston Automotive is seeking a Materials Manager to direct and coordinate materials movement, production scheduling, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, and customer service at the plant. This role supervises the Master Scheduler, Material Analyst, Customer Service Analyst and Warehouse Supervisor, and oversees payroll accuracy.

The position emphasizes driving daily delivery and inventory processes, developing material control procedures, and leading physical inventory and-cycle counts in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field is required.
• Eight years of experience as a Materials Supervisor or Manager or a related role is expected.
• APICS CPIM and CSCP are recommended.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive day to day delivery, inventory, shipping issues.
• Prepare procedures and work instructions regarding material control systems.
• Lead and perform material planning activities from raw materials to finished goods.
• Leads, coordinates in conjunction with Finance and all departments preparation and execution of Physical Inventory
• Lead and support standard metrics.
• Develop a plan and system to monitor safety stocks, min / max levels, storage locations, material flow, etc.
• Develops and installs clerical and office procedures and practices, and studies work flow, sequence of operations, and office arrangement to determine expediency of installing new or improved office machines/software.
• Lead month-end close activities, including inventory reconciliation, receipts, adjustments, etc.
• Lead and monitor cycle count frequency, accuracy, recounts, adjustments and investigation of issues until resolved.
