Troy Design Manufacturing Company in Shelbyville, KY is seeking a Material Planning & Logistics Supervisor to oversee material handling, storage, and distribution across the plant. You will lead a team of material handlers, forklifts operators, and warehouse staff to ensure on-time material flow and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of material handling or warehouse supervision experience in automotive manufacturing or similar high-volume environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with lean, JIT, Kanban.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily material handling activities including receiving, storing, kitting, line feeding, and shipping.
• Ensure on-time delivery to production lines to support JIT manufacturing.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Materials Planners to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Lead a team of material handlers, forklift operators, and warehouse staff.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and quality standards (OSHA/ISO).
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve material flow.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement to resolve material issues.
• Track KPIs such as delivery accuracy and inventory accuracy.
