Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Specialist to join our Production Control team in Goleta, CA. This onsite role aligns material availability, production schedules, and contractual requirements within MRP and Shop Floor Control systems, requiring effective communication and strong manufacturing process knowledge.

The ideal candidate has experience with MRP/ERP, procurement, and inventory control, and can coordinate with Engineering and IPTs to meet delivery commitments while maintaining compliance with

Qualifications

Requires university degree or equivalent and 5+ years in planning, scheduling, or production control.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Receive and induct government/ customer furnished products into MRP and inventory records.
Kit replacement hardware to customer return units for refurbishment and depot activity.
Initiate and manage procurement through timely release of purchase requisitions.
Maintain inventory traceability and configuration accountability across repair lifecycles.
Present production and material status to factory and IPTs, flag risks and actions.
Walk between buildings on campus and support line readiness; onsite Goleta, CA.
