Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Materials Coordinator to support the Columbus project site, focusing on material planning, coordination, and timely delivery of equipment and supplies to installation areas. You will report to the project controls team, work with procurement and warehouse staff, ensure accurate inventory records, and support delivery against the construction schedule.

This on-site role requires familiarity with min-max and bag-and-tag controls, ERP/inventory systems, and strong Excel skills

Qualifications

Experience with inventory control, stock levels, and reconciliation of physical vs system records.
Knowledge of receiving, storage, issuing, staging, and movement of materials on-site.
Proficiency with inventory systems and Excel, with focus on part numbers, quantities, and locations.
Ability to prioritize material requests and coordinate with procurement, warehouse and project teams.

Responsibilities

Performs material coordination at the jobsite to ensure accurate reporting of material and equipment statuses.
Monitors inventory control mechanisms and uses supply chain tools.
Prioritizes material allocations to ensure availability ahead of installation.
Coordinates material availability to accommodate design changes, rework, or contingency plans.
Participates in planning meetings to stay informed on installation plans and priorities.
Coordinates with warehouse for materials issued directly to the installation area.
Maintains relationship with project controls to ensure timely material delivery.
Monitors engineering and supply chain deliverable schedules to meet construction timelines.
