Job summary

Adient is seeking an Assistant Materials Manager in Normal, IL to supervise Master Schedulers and Material Analysts, focusing on transportation and inventory needs while leading auditing and training within the department.

The role requires 3+ years in Materials Management with MRP knowledge and ERP system experience (QAD & SAP), along with strong Excel skills. Collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent (preferred).
• 3+ years in Materials Management with knowledge of MRP or equivalent (Automotive JIT is a plus).
• Knowledgeable with ERP systems (QAD & SAP).
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant Master Schedulers and Material Analysts.
• Maintain data integrity through stock control systems and reporting.
• Participate with new launch teams to manage materials and logistics requirements.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and inventory control strategies.
• Ensure on-time supplier deliveries and effective vendor relationships.
• Act as back-up Materials Manager as required.
• Lead training and audit functions for the department.
