Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Materials Planner to manage material and equipment capacity, purchase raw materials, and oversee production scheduling to meet inventory and delivery objectives.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing scheduling, strong SAP/Ariba knowledge, and solid communication and analytical skills. This on-site position offers generous benefits and opportunities to contribute to cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Ops Management or related field or equivalent
• 3–5 years scheduling experience in manufacturing with inventory management experience
• Strong knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mainframe procurement SAP/Ariba experience

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
• Manages purchase orders for all raw materials and checks lead times for customer ship dates.
• Maintains PO logs and distributes to appropriate personnel.
• Updates SAP as needed.
• Manages SAP messaging and acts accordingly.
• Determines disposition of film and manages FIFO raw material inventory.
• Prepares monthly inventory aging charts and distributes.
• Establishes min-max inventory levels for materials.
• Coordinates transfer of raw materials among plant operations.
• Works with corp procurement to secure materials from other plants.
• Assists in resolving material inventory location problems.
• Enters orders in SAP to support customer orders and production schedules.
• Works with resin handlers and coordinates inbound/outbound needs.
• Oversees material management for the facility and production schedules.
• Manages raw material requisitions and oversize stock usage.
• Manages raw material claims and scheduling with Production Scheduler.
• Participates in production meetings impacting Materials planning.
• Provides KPI updates regularly.
• Participates in and leads WCOM cost-saving initiatives.
• Acts as back-up to other Materials Planning positions.
