Job summary

Intermountain Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Production Material Planner to ensure the production floor has all required materials available and staged for production.

The role collaborates with Material Handlers to move materials from warehouse to floor and supports kitting and inventory control. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) with shipping/receiving experience, strong math and communication skills, and proficiency in EPICOR, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; or at least two years of shipping and receiving experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documentation; write simple correspondence in English; communicate effectively.
• Math ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide for shipping and freight costs, discounts, fees, and inventory needs.
• Customer service skills to work with various personalities on the production floor and address vendor issues professionally.
• Reasoning ability to resolve shipping, receiving, material, and inventory issues with attention to detail.
• Computer skills include proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, EPICOR and other inventory tracking software used by the company.
• Certificates and Licenses: Must possess a valid driver's license and OSHA forklift certification or obtain within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the production floor has all materials required for production and ready for use.
• Coordinate with Material Handlers to deliver materials from the warehouse to the production floor.
• Review upcoming production schedules and proactively stage and deliver materials.
• Maintain organized Point-of-Use areas and communicate low inventory levels.
• Support job kitting, inventory control, and 5S activities on the warehouse floor.
• Support safety and compliance requirements for material handling.
