Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Planner/Buyer to plan, originate, coordinate and track purchase orders for raw materials and production orders to meet customer schedules based on MRP/Forecast. Responsibilities include PO generation, quotes, MRP planning, inventory verification, and supplier coordination.

The role requires 2–5 years in materials planning, a B.A. in Materials Management or Operations, hands-on MRP experience, and full bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Education: B. A. in Materials Management or Operations.
• Experience 2 to 5 years in material management or planning.
• Experience in project management.
• Hands on using MRP business systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and generate purchase orders for raw materials to meet production schedules.
• Request quotes and analyze proposals for commodities per company procedures.
• Run weekly/monthly Can I Build It reports and MRP planning queries to plan & expedite material orders.
• Verify inventory levels and adjust purchase orders as required.
• Communicate with suppliers to optimize material requirements planning.
• Create and manage Transfer Orders for/from other Curtis locations.
• Maintain the material HOT LISTING/Global Constraints report and update on issues.
• Prepare Production schedule as required.
• Create and convert Purchase Order requisitions for MRO items.
• Generate and process scrap and inventory adjustment transactions.
• Notify production of changes in delivery dates affecting the plan.
• Files records of supply orders and confirmations from suppliers.
• Maintain appropriate records for all transactions and adhere to policies.
