Job summary

Eaton in Beltsville, MD is seeking a Materials Operations Manager to oversee internal materials and scheduling to maximize adherence to the Master Production Schedule from the Network Planning team via the SIOP process.

The role requires leading materials flow, inventory control, and logistics activities across the site, with emphasis on Lean methods, cycle counting, and ERP experience. The position spans fulltime, on-site work with potential for growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years in Materials/Operations/Supply Chain in manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • ERP experience or working with ERP systems.
  • US person per ITAR and legal work authorization required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage materials flow and inventory to support plant operations using lean material flow.
  • Administer indirect and MRO purchasing per Eaton policies.
  • Generate short-term production schedules aligned to Network plan.
  • Monitor execution of production schedule on the factory floor.
  • Escalate material availability to COE and Network teams.
  • Drive forecast attainment from the MPS/SIOP plan.
  • Execute shipment schedules per customer priorities and network guidance.
  • Lead continuous improvement using MMA, OPA, visual management, and VSM.
  • Maintain target inventory levels and meet on-time delivery goals.
  • Maintain plant data health (routings, WMS, MRO, shipping).
