Job summary

DWYER INSTRUMENTS, LLC is seeking a Materials Manager to lead purchasing, planning, and inventory control for a manufacturing environment. You will supervise the stockroom and drive improvements in procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and material availability to support production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years in materials management, including 3 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing materials management.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience; management training preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and production planning best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing, planning, inventory control and stockroom operations.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Oversee material planning and production scheduling to meet forecasted demand.
• Establish and monitor inventory control systems to maintain stock levels.
• Utilize ERP systems (SyteLine preferred) to manage procurement and inventory data.
• Prepare reports and metrics to support planning and decision-making.
