Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Materials Manager, Networking & Hardware to lead the sourcing and supply strategy for critical networking hardware. This role partners with network engineering to ensure timely availability of switches, routers, and DPUs, balancing cost, lead times, and technology transitions across complex lifecycles.

The position focuses on preventing inventory stranding, reducing build delays, and supporting the company’s infrastructure roadmap while ensuring hardware transitions align

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience sourcing networking hardware from major OEMs.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies, including optics, ASICs, and port speeds.
• Proven track record in managing end-of-life and technology transitions.
• Experience with dual-sourcing strategies and their complexities.
• Familiarity with firmware, licensing, and support agreements.
• Bonus: AI/HPC fabric hardware, white-box and ODM switching, and vendor financing.

For our client, we are seeking a Materials Manager, Networking & Hardware to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will own the sourcing and supply strategy for critical networking hardware, partnering closely with network engineering to ensure the right equipment is available when needed. The position will focus on balancing cost, lead times, qualification requirements, and technology transitions across complex hardware lifecycles. Success in this role will help prevent inventory stranding, reduce build delays, and support the company’s broader infrastructure roadmap.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
