Job summary

Fluke Health Solutions in Glenwood, IL is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee planning, procurement, storage and distribution, ensuring optimal inventory levels and on-time delivery to support production.

You will lead a small team of buyers/planners, collaborate with operations, engineering, and purchasing, and leverage ERP/MRP tools to forecast demand and manage material availability. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, procurement, logistics and production planning processes.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Agresso, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Lean manufacturing principles with tangible results.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling to support accurate receipts, shipments, logistics costs and material management.
• Develop and implement material management strategies to support manufacturing operations.
• Oversee procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and purchasing to forecast material availability.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production demands.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
• Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and distribution.
• Lead and develop the materials management team, ensuring safety and policy adherence.
• Monitor material and logistic costs; identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
