Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC seeks a senior leader to direct materials management, supply chain strategy, and international logistics for our manufacturing operation. The role aims for uninterrupted production, optimized inventory, and cost-effective freight management across domestic and international networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 2-5 years of supply chain and logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing domestic and international logistics operations.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or departmental management role.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, advanced Microsoft Excel, and supply chain reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan & Control: Develop and execute material planning strategies to optimize inventory stock levels, minimize excess, and lead cycle count accuracy programs.
• Manage Logistics: Oversee inbound and outbound domestic freight while directing international import/export operations and ensuring customs trade compliance.
• Optimize Costs: Partner with carriers, customs brokers, and suppliers to negotiate freight rates, resolve shipping disruptions, and reduce total supply chain expenses.
• Lead Operations: Direct warehouse receiving, storage, and material handling functions while ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Coach & Develop: Supervise, mentor, and set performance goals for materials, inventory, and logistics staff to foster high team productivity.
• Drive Improvement: Support ERP system enhancements and implement data-driven process improvements to streamline operational efficiency and on-time delivery.
