Hexcel is currently seeking a Materials Manager for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.

Responsibilities:

1. The Material Manager is responsible for the production planning, inventory plans, and accuracy, and direct and indirect material planning and replenishment.
2. Lead and work with the planning group to provide executable production plans and schedules to meet forecast and booked demand while optimizing quality, cost, and equipment capacity.
3. Optimize the short- and long-term production planning and material replenishment process for maximum utilization of the plant facilities and resources.
4. Under the general guidance of the Supply Chain Director, develop targets, systems, and procedures for achieving agreed inventory levels for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
5. Balance supply and demand in the supply chain in collaboration with the other affected Hexcel Plants production planning/scheduling groups and through the SIOP process. If balance cannot be agreed, then the constraints are to be escalated with the appropriate senior management for resolution/direction.
6. Oversee short and long-range planning to balance supply and demand on a 0–24-month time frame.
7. Work in conjunction with the manufacturing operation to maximize customer service levels and on-time delivery of customer orders. Work in conjunction with the Plant Manager, Operations Manager, and Supply Chain Director towards achieving objectives.
8. Assist with the inventory control function via cycle counting and physical inventories as needed.
9. Collaborate with the Quality function on the customer return process and assist with supplier quality management.
10. Assist in contract negotiations for plant services.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree required - in administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in plant scheduling and supply chain management.
2. CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving, facilitation skills, and leadership required.
4. Working knowledge of MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
5. Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Pivot, and MRP systems preferred.
6. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
7. Ability to present to audiences of hourly and salaried employees.
8. Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring high initiative and self-motivation.
9. Regular attendance on company premises is required.
10. Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
