MATERIALS MANAGER
PINE GROVE, PA

As a member of the Materials Team, the Materials Manager will be responsible for inventory control, supporting production scheduling with material flow issues, managing vendor relationships, assessing supply needs, and coordinating delivery schedules. They will analyze sales and shipped-from-stock trends, recommend inventory levels, and implement changes as directed by senior management. The role also includes managing the purchasing function, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of purchase orders, and overseeing the PO acknowledgment process to ensure on-time delivery.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and coordinating communication between marketing, engineering, and procurement regarding plant capacity and customer demand.
• Participating in the SIOP process to proactively manage planning efforts to meet delivery requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborating with procurement on lead-time reduction, make vs. buy decisions, subcontracting, and raw material replenishment. Analyzing consumption trends, planning for complex or long-lead items, and setting up material/Kanban systems for anticipated customer needs.
• Performing additional duties as needed or assigned.
• Executing tasks effectively, organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple changing priorities.
• Communicating clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and management.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in materials planning, leadership, logistics, inventory, and shipping management.
• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics.
• Experience with computerized inventory control and databases, emphasizing optimal storage utilization.
• Experience with SAP Warehouse Management.

Bonus If You Have:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Previous experience in fabric manufacturing.
