Job summary

Extension, Inc is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations at our New Berlin, WI facility. You will manage hourly staff, optimize space and workflows, and ensure on-time delivery while driving ISO 9001 quality and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years in materials management, strong ERP skills (SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial), and a proven track record in lean 6S and team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of progressive warehouse and materials management experience.
• Advanced ERP systems knowledge (SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse machinery; hands-on ability to operate and train staff on material handling equipment.
• Proven track record in team development, root-cause problem solving, and lean 6S practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly shipping/receiving staff, oversee shift schedules, and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage daily receiving, picking, and shipping activities; ensure 95%+ on-time delivery for equipment and 98.5%+ for parts.
• Maintain 98%+ inventory accuracy; support physical inventory audits and ERP transactions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and 3PL partners; enforce ISO 9001 SOPs and 6S safety standards.
• Track KPIs, lead root-cause analyses, and minimize defects and scrap.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct hourly shipping/receiving staff, oversee shift schedules, conduct performance reviews, and partner with HR on staffing.
• Warehouse Operations: Manage daily receiving, picking, and shipping activities; ensure 95%+ on-time delivery for equipment and 98.5%+ for parts.
• Inventory Control: Maintain 98%+ inventory accuracy, support physical inventory audits, and accurately process ERP transactions.
• Logistics & Quality: Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and 3PL partners; enforce ISO 9001 SOPs and 6S safety standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Track KPIs, lead root-cause analysis, and minimize internal/external failures and scrap.

Qualifications

• Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of progressive warehouse and materials management experience.
• ERP Mastery: Advanced ERP systems knowledge (SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial is a strong plus).
