Jobot is seeking a Materials Manager for a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You will lead a high-performing materials team, optimize supply chains, and drive efficiency across production to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years in materials, supply chain, or procurement within manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Inventory Strategy to balance stock with production demand.
• Own supplier partnerships and negotiate contracts to secure materials.
• Drive logistics and distribution to ensure on-time delivery.
• Champion quality with QA to meet automotive standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives with Lean and automation.
• Manage budgets and forecast costs for efficiency gains.
• Lead and develop a team of planners, buyers, and warehouse staff.
• Uphold safety and environmental standards in the supply chain.

Job Details

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Inventory Strategy – Balance stock levels to meet production demand while minimizing waste and excess.
• Own Supplier Partnerships – Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure the materials needed to keep operations running at top speed.
• Drive Logistics & Distribution – Oversee transportation, warehousing, and scheduling to guarantee on-time delivery.
• Champion Quality – Partner with QA to ensure all incoming materials meet automotive standards and specifications.
• Innovate & Improve – Lead continuous improvement initiatives with Lean, automation, and new technology to streamline operations.
• Manage Budgets – Forecast, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Lead a High-Impact Team – Mentor and develop a team of planners, buyers, and warehouse staff, building a culture of collaboration and growth.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety – Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards while minimizing supply chain risks.

What We’re Looking For:

• Automotive manufacturing experience is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years in materials, supply chain, or procurement roles within manufacturing
• 1–2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles (procurement, logistics, inventory management)
• Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management tools, and MS Excel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
